Shuqi Liao
I’m a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Purdue University, where I am a part of the Purdue CS XR Lab, advised by Voicu Popescu. I completed my Master’s degree in Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue and my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Ocean University of China.
My research lies at the intersection of XR (AR/VR/MR), Computer Graphics, and Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on immersive 3D visualization and interaction, haptic and cross-reality interfaces, and agentic AI systems for XR authoring.
Outside of my research, I love playing badminton , exploring new destinations , and savoring great food ! I also have a lovely cat named Pixel !
I am currently interning at Meta, working on robotics.

Simulate the water particles using smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) based on Muller’s 2003 SIGGRAPH paper. In the number of particles is 4096, the FPS is around 60.
Developed an open-source online interactive diagramming editor for automatic code generation, built using Vue.js and mxGraph.js.
